 TASHKENT-NUKUS – MUYNAK – NUKUS – KHIVA – BUKHARA-NURATA – YURT CAMP (KIZILKUM DESERT) –SAMARKAND– SHAKHRISABZ - SAMARKAND - TASHKENT - FERGANA VALLEY – TASHKENT

Day 1, TASHKENT

Arrival in Tashkent  welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Time for rest. Sightseeing tour of Tashkent to the old and new parts of the city: Amir Timur Square, Theatre Square with the Opera House, Applied Art Museum, Earthquake Memorial, Independence Square and Khast Imam Square – a religious center of the city consisting of the Barakkhan madrasah, KaffalShashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII century.  Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 2, TASHKENT – NUKUS – MUYNAK – NUKUS

Breakfast in the hotel.Take a morning flight to Nukus. Arrival to Nukus and drive to former fishermen’s village Moynak, which used to be situated on the shores of Aral Sea(200 km, 3,5 – 4 hours). In the afternoon drive back from Moynak to Nukus . Night in Nukus

 

Day 3, NUKUS - KHIVA 

After breakfast a visit to the State Art Museum named after I.V. Savitskiy which hosts the world’s second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and one of the largest collections of applied art of Central Asia.  Afternoon drive to Khiva (180 km, 3 hours), upon arrval check-in at the hotel. Night in Khiva.

 

Day 4, KHIVA

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day for sightseeing of Khiva - including visits to the inner town of Ichan Kala (XIV-XX CC) with Muhamad Amin khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim khan Madrassah, Djuma Mosque and Minaret, TashHauli Palace, Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrassah, Shirgazi khan MadrassahPahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. Night in Khiva.

 

Day 5, KHIVA – BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Bukhara via the Kizilkum desert (470 km).Currently the road between Khiva and Bukhara is under reconstruction and it will take around 10 hours to reach Bukhara from Khiva.    Arrival to Bukhara and hotel check-in. Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 6, BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel.Full day of sightseeing tour in Bukhara. The Ark Fortress (I-XX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque (XVIII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IX-X CC), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC), sightseeing tour on foot along the old town of Bukhara from Poi- Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret (XII C) through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV C), Toki Sarrafon (XVI C), Toki TelpakFurushon (XVI C), UlugbekMadrassah (XV C), AbdulazizkhanMadrassah (XVII C) to the LyabiHauz complex (XVI -XVII CC) and Chor Minor (Four Minarets, XIX C).Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 7, BUKHARA – NURATA – YURT CAMP (KIZILKUM DESERT)

Breakfast in the hotel.Half day sightseeing to be continued outside Bukhara toBagautdinNakhshbandi Complex - a center of Sufism (XIV-XVI CC, 14 km outside the town), SitoraiMokhiKhosa – summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (XIX-XX, 4 km outside the town). In the afternoon drive to Nurata (185km, 3hrs.) Enjoy guided tour around Nurata town for 2 hrs: ruins and fortifications remained after Alexander the Great, saint spring and medieval mosque Namazgokh. Transfer to the yurt camp (65km, 1.5hrs.). Upon arrival at the yurt camp, you will check-in at the yurts and thenyou can start camel riding. Evening around the campfire with the music and songs performed by the local Kazakh singer.   Night in yurts (huts).

 

Day 8, YURT CAMP - SAMARKAND 

Breakfast at the yurt camp after which you will visit the unique desert lake Aydarkul where you can swim in the lake or just relax enjoying the beauties of the lake. Picnic lunch will be servedat the lake. PM transfer to Samarqand (290km, 4hrs.)Arrival to Samarqand and hotel check-in. Night in Samarqand.

 

Day 9, SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day of sightseeing in Samarkand:  Gur-Emir Mausoleum - Grave of Tamerlane (XV C), Rukhabad Mausoleum (XIV C), Registan Square (XV-XVII CC), BibiKhanum Mosque (XIV-XV CC) and Samarkand local bazaar, ShakhiZinda Necropolis (XIV-XV CC), Night in Samarkand.

 

Day 10, SAMARKAND – SHAHRISABZ - SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel.Today you will have a drive for one day trip to Shakhrisabz (150 km, 2,5 hours). Shakhrisabz is a hometown of Tamerlane and during our 2 hour sightseeing tour you can enjoy the bright example of Central Asian architecture of XIV-XV centuries by visiting: The AkSaray Palace, Ulugbek’s Blue Domed Mosque, Jakhangir’s Mausoleum. Afternoon drive back to Samarkand. Night in Samarkand.

 

Day 11, SAMARKAND - TASHKENT 

Breakfast in the hotel. Half day of city tour to be contiued in Samarkand:Ulugbek Observatory (XV C), Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiyab, Tombstone of Saint Danyar. In the afternoon drive to Tashkent (320 km, 4, 5 hours).Arrival to Tashkent and hotel check-in. Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 12, TASHKENT - KOKAND - FERGHANA

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Fergana Valley (340 km). First stop in Kokand town (250 km) to visit Khudyarkhan Palace and Jome Mosque. Drive on to Ferghana town (90 km). Night in Fergana.

 

Day 13, FERGHANA – MARGILAN – RISHTAN - TASHKENT  

Breakfast in the hotel.Sightseeing tour to the Yodgorlik Silk Factory in Margilan town (15 km) which is famous for silk production. And then drive to Rishtan town (30 km), famous for ceramic production, where you will visit the house of a famous ceramic master.  Afternoon drive from Rishtan to Tashkent (295 km, 4 hrs). Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 14, TASHKENT

Transfer to Tashkent International Airport. End of the tour.
