Day 1,  ARRIVE TASHKENT

Arrival in Tashkent from, welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Time for rest. Sightseeing tour of Tashkent to the old and new parts of the city: Amir Timur Square, Theatre Square with the Opera House, Applied Art Museum, Earthquake Memorial, Independence Square and Khast Imam Square – a religious center of the city consisting of the Barakkhan madrasah, KaffalShashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII century. Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 2, TASHKENT – NUKUS – MUYNAK – NUKUS

Breakfast in the hotel.Take a morning flight to Nukus. Arrival to Nukus and drive to former fishermen’s village Moynak, which used to be situated on the shores of Aral Sea(200 km, 3,5 – 4 hours). In the afternoon drive back from Moynak to Nukus. Night in Nukus

 

Day 3, NUKUS - KHIVA

After breakfast a visit to the State Art Museum named after I.V. Savitskiy which hosts the world’s second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and one of the largest collections of applied art of Central Asia. Afternoon drive to Khiva (180 km, 3 hours), upon arrval check-in at the hotel. Night in Khiva.

 

Day 4, KHIVA

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day for sightseeing of Khiva - including visits to the inner town of Ichan Kala (XIV-XX CC) with Muhamad Amin khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim khan Madrassah, Djuma Mosque and Minaret, TashHauli Palace, Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrassah, Shirgazi khan MadrassahPahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. Night in Khiva.

 

Day 5, KHIVA – BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Bukhara via the Kizilkum desert (470 km).Currently the road between Khiva and Bukhara is under reconstruction and it will take around 10 hours to reach Bukhara from Khiva. Arrival to Bukhara and hotel check-in. Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 6, BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel.Full day of sightseeing tour in Bukhara. The Ark Fortress (I-XX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque (XVIII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IX-X CC), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC), sightseeing tour on foot along the old town of Bukhara from Poi- Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret (XII C) through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV C), Toki Sarrafon (XVI C), Toki TelpakFurushon (XVI C), UlugbekMadrassah (XV C), AbdulazizkhanMadrassah (XVII C) to the LyabiHauz complex (XVI -XVII CC). Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 7, BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel. Today we drive outside Bukhara for sightseeing of BagautdinNakhshbandi Complex - a center of Sufism (XIV-XVI CC, 14 km outside the town), SitoraiMokhiKhosa – summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (XIX-XX, 4 km outside the town). Afternoon visit to the ChorBakr Necropolis (XVI-XX CC, 10 km outside the town), back to Bukhara and a visit to the Chor – Minor (Four Minarets, XIX C). Night in Bukhara. 

 

Day 8,: BUKHARA

Today you will be at leisure. You can walk along the old town and see the local artisans in action or just have tea/coffee under the centuries-old mulberry trees at LyabiHauz area. In one word, it is a relaxed day for you. 

 

Day 9, BUKHARA – GIJDUVAN - SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel.Morning drive to Samarkand (280 km, 4 hrs.) On the way you will visit the house of one of the famous ceramic masters in Gijduvan (50 km to Bukhara) to enjoy the technique of making pottery from local clay and later stop to see the ruins of the XI century caravanserai Malik Rabat. Arrival to Samarkand  and hotel check-in. Night in Samarkand.   

            

Day 10, SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day of sightseeing in Samarkand:  Gur-Emir Mausoleum - Grave of Tamerlane (XV C), Rukhabad Mausoleum (XIV C), Registan Square (XV-XVII CC), BibiKhanum Mosque (XIV-XV CC) and Samarkand local bazaar, ShakhiZinda Necropolis (XIV-XV CC), Night in Samarkand.

 

Day 11, SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel.Sightseeing to be continued in Samarkand to Ulugbek Observatory (XV C), Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiyab, Tombstone of Saint Danyar. Night In Samarkand.

 

Day 12, SAMARKAND – SHAHRISABZ – SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel.Today you will have a drive for one day trip to Shakhrisabz (150 km, 2,5 hours). Shakhrisabz is a hometown of Tamerlane and during our 2 hour sightseeing tour you can enjoy the bright example of Central Asian architecture of XIV-XV centuries by visiting: The AkSaray Palace, Ulugbek’s Blue Domed Mosque, Jakhangir’s Mausoleum. Afternoon drive back to Samarkand. Night in Samarkand.

 

Day 13, SAMARKAND - TASHKENT 

Breakfast in the hotel.Drive to Tashkent (320 km, 4, 5 hours). Arrival to Tashkent and hotel check-in. Free time. Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 14, TASHKENT

Transfer to Tashkent International Airport. End of the tour.
