Day 1,  ARRIVE TASHKENT

Arrival in Tashkent. Welcome at the airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Time for rest. Sightseeing tour of Tashkent to the old and new parts of the city: Amir Timur Square, Theatre Square with the Opera House, Applied Art Museum, Earthquake Memorial, Abdul KasimMadrassah and AlisherNavoi National Park, Independence Square.Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 2, TASHKENT – URGENCH - KHIVA

Early breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the domestic terminal to fly to Urgench. Arrival at Urgench airport and drive to Khiva (30 km). Check-in at the hotel in Khiva. Full day for sightseeing of Khiva including visits to the inner town of Ichan Kala (XIV-XX CC) with Muhamad Amin khan Madrassah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Kunya Ark, Muhamad Rahim khan Madrassah, Djuma Mosque and Minaret, TashHauli Palace, Islam Khodja Minaret and Madrassah, Shirgazi khan MadrassahPahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. Night in Khiva.

 

Day 3, KHIVA - BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Bukhara via the Kizilkum desert (470 km).Currently the road between Khiva and Bukhara is under reconstruction and it will take around 10 hours to reach Bukhara from Khiva.    Arrival to Bukhara and hotel check-in. Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 4, BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel.Full day of sightseeing tour in Bukhara. The Ark Fortress (I-XX CC), Bolo Hauz Mosque (XVIII C), Samanids Mausoleum (IX-X CC), Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum (XII-XVI CC), sightseeing tour on foot along the old town of Bukhara from Poi- Kalyan complex with Kalyan Minaret (XII C) through orient bazaars with three trade domes of Toki Zargaron (XV C), Toki Sarrafon (XVI C), Toki TelpakFurushon (XVI C), UlugbekMadrassah (XV C), AbdulazizkhanMadrassah (XVII C) to the LyabiHauz complex (XVI -XVII CC). Night in Bukhara.

 

Day 5, BUKHARA

Breakfast in the hotel. Today we drive outside Bukhara for sightseeing of BagautdinNakhshbandi Complex - a center of Sufism (XIV-XVI CC, 14 km outside the town), SitoraiMokhiKhosa – summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara (XIX-XX, 4 km outside the town). Afternoon visit to the ChorBakrNecropolis (XVI-XX CC, 10 km outside the town), back to Bukhara and a visit to the Chor – Minor (Four Minarets, XIX C). Night in Bukhara. 

 

Day 6, BUKHARA - NURATA – YURT CAMP (KIZILKUM DESERT)

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Nurata (185km, 3hrs.) Enjoy guided tour around Nurata town for 2 hrs: ruins and fortifications remained after Alexander the Great, saint spring and medieval mosque Namazgokh. Transfer to the base camp (65km, 1.5hrs.). Came riding instructions and then camel riding. Evening around the campfire with the music and songs performed by the local Kazakh singer. Night in yurts (huts).

 

Day 7, YURT CAMP - SAMARKAND 

Breakfast at the yurt camp after which you will visit the unique desert lake Aydarkul where you can swim in the lake or just relax enjoying the beauties of the lake. Picnic lunch will be servedat the lake. PM transfer to Samarqand (290km, 4hrs.)Arrival to Samarqand and hotel check-in. Night in Samarqand.

 

Day 8, SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel. Full day of sightseeing in Samarkand:  Gur-Emir Mausoleum - Grave of Tamerlane (XV C), Rukhabad Mausoleum (XIV C), Registan Square (XV-XVII CC), BibiKhanum Mosque (XIV-XV CC) and Samarkand local bazaar, ShakhiZinda Necropolis (XIV-XV CC), Night in Samarkand.     

         

Day 9, SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel.Sightseeing to be continued to Ulugbek Observatory (XV C), Excavation of an ancient city and museum of Afrosiyab, Tombstone of Saint Danyar.Free time in the afternoon.

 

Day 10, SAMARKAND – SHAHRISABZ - SAMARKAND

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive forone day trip to Shakhrisabz (150 km, 2,5 hours). Shakhrisabz is a home - town of Tamerlane and during our 2 hour sightseeing tour you can enjoy the bright example of Central Asian architecture of XIV-XV centuries by visiting: The AkSaray Palace, Ulugbek’s Blue Domed Mosque, Jakhangir’s Mausoleum. Afternoon drive back to  Samarkand. Night in Samarkand.

 

Day 11, SAMARKAND - TASHKENT 

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Tashkent (320 km, 4,5 hours). Arrival to Tashkent and hotel check-in. Afternoon visits toKhast Imam Square – a religious center of the city consisting of the Barakkhan madrasah, KaffalShashi Mausoleum and the library of Islamic Literature with the Holy Koran Book of the VII centuryand Chorsu oriental bazaar. Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 12, TASHKENT - KOKAND - FERGHANA

Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to Fergana Valley (340 km). First stop in Kokand town (250 km) to visit Khudyarkhan Palace andJome Mosque. Drive on to Ferghana (90 km). Night in Fergana.

 

Day 13, FERGHANA – MARGILAN – RISHTAN - TASHKENT

Breakfast in the hotel.Sightseeing tour to the Yodgorlik Silk Factory inMargilan town (15 km) which is famous for silk production and then drive to Rishtan town (30 km),famous for ceramic production.In Rishtan you will visit the house of a famous ceramic master.  Drive from Rishtan to Tashkent (295 km, 4 hrs.) Night in Tashkent.

 

Day 14, TASHKENT

Breakfast in the hotel and before you are transferred to the airport you will have some time to visit Tashkent Metro and the Monument of the victims of repression. Transfer to Tashkent International Airport. End of the tour.
